When Fat Quarter shop announced their latest free pattern, I went on the hunt to match up fabrics to this fun and fast project! That opportunity came when the Fat Quarter Shop Cupid Box arrived!

The Cupid Box came with twenty 10-inch squares from the “I Love Us” collection for Sandy Gervais for Riley Blake Designs. The pattern uses 28 squares, 8 of which are recommended to be duplicates. I added in pink coordinating fabric for those, some scraps for background and borders, and pieced up some stripe print yardage! It’s been a great stash buster!

The other deviation was that I used a different print for the border instead of using the same fabric as the background. I found this brown floral print, that had a seam stitched down the center from making baking for another project… and it came up short. Glad it eventually found a quilty home!

  • The throw size package is PERFECT for this quilt top! It has 60 inches by 60 inches while this project is 56 1/2 inches square! I love when that works out!!!
