Island Batik is having a blog hop all June with fabulous quilts, and tons of giveaways! This challenge features the classic Irish chain block, and no matter the layout, it can come together in a fraction of the cutting time with our sponsored Accuquilt Irish Chain 10-inch Finished Die.

As part of the Island Batik Ambassador program, I received all the supporting materials for this project from Island Batik, Schmetz Needles, Aurifil Thread, Hobbs Batting, and my trusty Oliso Iron from Oliso home. I am an affiliate for Accuquilt. I may earn a small commission at no additional expense to you if you use my affiliate links in this post.

Serenity is the fabric collection by Jerry Khiev that I was sent for this challenge. True to the name it features calming tones of pink and green with soft shapes stamped throughout.

Here is the shop list to pick up this collection!
Checker Distributors, Ohio
CinBarDesign, Ohio
Fiber Art Gallery, Florida
Hilary Arts, Utah
Accuquilt makes things even easier by giving away free patterns with each die they release. I used the Checkered Irish Chain Throw Pattern with this collection to really bring out the calm nature of these fabrics.

Hobbs Bleached Cotton with my ideal choice batting. It’s more white than the natural battings, which helps with the seams showing on the Island Batik Foundations background in white. Cotton is also a light batting, keeping this quilt in an airy serenity nature!

A standard 75/11 needle was my choice for this easy piecing pair with my mini Oliso pro iron in pistachio. Aurifil 50wt Mako in color 2310 was a soft neutral used in my piecing.
