Are you in the spooky season or just enjoying the transition to fall this month? For me, I hit Fall mode in August and September, then I have the holidays for the rest of the year. It was hard to get into the decorations with another week in the 80’s. At lease we get to enjoy our walks around the “Not so Spooky” Scavenger hunt put on by the Ashland Water and Soil Conservation.
This week a lot of my mental energy went to my day job as the US Government shut down this week. While I’m experiencing set backs in my tasks that depend on government sourced data, I feel for those whose entire lives are upheaved through this time in their financial dependence.
I posted the Spooky Box this week to my YouTube channel, as well as the haul from the coupon that came in the box. You can see everything I got here: Spooky Box Video
With Spooky box wrapped up, Fat Quarter Shop has now released the Jolly Box for reservation. I’ve already pre-ordered mine!

Some sneak peaks for this month. I have 2 bags I’ll be sharing. Island Batik ambassadors are making ByAnnie bags.

then I’m participating in #SewPink with ByAnnie, with a focus on bringing awareness to Brain Cancer.

This next week I’ll be kicking off my participation in #StitchHauntober hosted by Black Needle Society. My goal is to stitch 500 stitches on each prompt.

I’m delayed because I didn’t have any owls on any of my projects. I finally found the perfect one!
The Open Gate Quilts Subscription Box arrived, so I’ll be posting a quick video on that in the next week!
Until then, here’s this week’s vlog: Little drama, bag making, Halloween tour

Have a great October and happy stitching!
