Sweet Land of Liberty – A Fat Quarter Shop Limited edition project

What better way to kick off a summery patriotic season than to wrap up the last year’s Liberty Box project from Fat Quarter Shop! Here is the full unboxing on their blog.

I made some modifications from the original project, making the blue and gray squares on the outside whole, instead of doing pinwheels.

I did a free motion quilting design in about 3 inch blocks of alternating “wiggles” lines. I love how this makes a weave effect on the overall quilt.

Sometimes varigated thread can be difficult to find a use for, but this color from Hab and Dash called “Grain” adds a beautiful sparkle to every quilt I put it on! Shop Glide thread at Linda’s Electric Quilters

If you would like to reserve this year’s Liberty Box, reservations are now open at Fat Quarter Shop!

By shopping my link, I will make a small commission on any purchases you make at Fat Quarter Shop.

These boxes go fast, and are a ton of fun to sew! I hope you enjoy your sewing Liberty season!

For additional quilting supplies, remember to shop at Linda’s for great deals, made even greater with my 10% coupon! (Code: BRITTANY10AP ) I recently bought some notions and their HUGE batting rolls! They all shipped free and in the same box!
