Electric Quilt Kaleidoscope Collection Two – PART 2! – My Block!

Electric Quilt has been buzzing with beautiful star blocks this month with the new release of the Kaleidoscope Collection Two release!

If you followed part one, I was sent the add-on, as well as the EQ Quilters Newsprint that you can read about here.

As an affiliate of Electric Quilt, I will make a small commision when you make purchases through my links at no added expense to you. Thanks for your support!

I used scraps from the Butterfly Haven Blog Hop I did with Jennifer Thomas last December for her signature line with Island Batik, Lumin Fabrics.

My first run with the EQ Quilters Newsprint was a great success! It’s sturdy enough to keep all the fabrics in place, but thin enough to keep the stitches from distortion. Every point matched up like magic! This really is a testimony to me, because my previous paper piecing has been log cabin blocks, and it was a struggle!

Honestly my favorite feature of the EQ Quilter’s Newsprint is the packaging. The sealed closure makes storing sheets so much easier than the loose papers you typically get!

I am thrilled with how this block turned out! And through EQ, you can upload your block photo and test it out in a whole quilt! I give a tutorial on this in my YouTube video.

What a show stopper! Make sure you are following the EQ Blog for Sew and Tell to see all the amazing creations! Thanks Electric Quilt for the fun products!
